After the gala, the humane society will turn its focus back to its future animal care centre. The society has outgrown its current home on Lansdowne Street, which is more than 60 years.

The new facility will house three vital programs: A humane education and adoption centre, a low-cost spay and neuter clinic and the OSPCA's dog rehabilitation centre — a first-of-its-kind in Canada.
